Instalar Driver Ati Radeon [Segui 4 tutoriais e nada...]

Desculpa por esse topico, eu usei SEARCH! porém não achei resultado semelhante ao meu.

Eu segui 4 tutoriais diferentes.

fiz tudo correto em todos os tutoriais, porém na hora de ver se está funcionando, sempre apontava um erro.



Vejamos:

# glxgears --> fica lerdo


Quando uso o Fglrxinfo:

root@Dare:/home/dare# fglrxinfo
display: :0.0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI R300 20060815 AGP 1x TCL
OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.3 Mesa 6.5.1)




Quando uso o grep direct.

root@Dare:/home/dare# glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: No
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect

Segui o tutorial do help do ubuntu e obtive isso:

root@Dare:/home/dare# sudo depmod -a

root@Dare:/home/dare# sudo aticonfig --initial
Found fglrx primary device section
Nothing to do, terminating.

root@Dare:/home/dare# sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv
Warning: Option 'VideoOverlay' doesn't affect running session.
Warning: Option 'OpenGLOverlay' doesn't affect running session.

Tentei fazer o Troubleshooting da pagina: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI
e obtive:

root@Dare:/home/dare# sudo rmmod dri
ERROR: Module dri does not exist in /proc/modules

root@Dare:/home/dare# sudo rmmod ati-agp
ERROR: Module ati_agp does not exist in /proc/modules

Não sei se vai quebrar a barra de rolagem, mas vou quotar tudo que está no meu XORG!

Eu tentei de "false" e tentei botar "0" também, mas obtive resultados semelhantes.

Por favor, explique como vc consegui?
Tenho um monitor LCD 17", a tela está normalmente em 1280x1024, mas ela apresenta um deslocamento de 0,5cm na borda esquerda.
Tentei seguir as dicas publicadas no tópico http://ubuntuforum-pt.org/index.php?topic=14312.0
Não consegui sucesso!
Minha Placa de vídeo  é uma ATI RADEON X300SE PCI-Express de 256MB
