Crash no update

Arrumei um CD do Ubuntu-Breezy em um curso.

Instalei em casa junto com o Win2000.

Depois de mexer um pouco (muito pouco) vi que tinha uma versão mais recente, busquei no google como fazer o update. Segui isso aqui:


 How to upgrade from Hoary Hedgehog -> Breezy Badger -> Dapper Drake

    * First, make sure you're fully upgraded:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

    * If you don't have a CD available make SURE you comment/remove the line pertaining to your CD media

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

/etc/apt/sources.list

for an upgrade to breezy your sources.list should look something similar to this:

## Uncomment the following two lines to fetch updated software from the network
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy main restricted
deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy main restricted

## Uncomment the following two lines to fetch major bug fix updates produced

    * To upgrade from breezy to dapper, just replace (ctrl+h) all instances of 'breezy' with 'dapper' within the /etc/apt/sources.list

    * Save this file.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

    * Save your session, reboot, and enjoy.

NOTE:

    * I would NOT suggest upgrading directly from hoary to dapper. Upgrade: hoary->breezy->dapper

E ele nunca mais reiniciou. Gostaria de saber se reinstalar do zero pode dar problemas e como devo proceder.

Atualizações do sistema não estão maduras o suficiente.

Instalar do zero vai rodar normalmente.

Outra coisa, tem alguma recomendação especial ou é só fazer um cd e instalar?

Se rodou o Breezy normalmente, pode ir adiante

Lembre-se de gravar num CD-R! Gravar em CD-RW pode causar problemas futuros.
