Driver vídeo para VIA/S3 Unichrome IGP Ubuntu 8.10

Olá pessoal,

      Instalei o Ubuntu 8.10 mas não achei driver para a minha placa de vídeo on board VIA/S3 Unichrome IGP, quando abro o Ubuntu só oferece resolução baixa...alguém pode me ajudar?

Está instalando em Notebook ou Desktop?

Eu instalei anteontem numa via P4M800Pro e funcionou normal, por incrível que pareça não consegui instalar o controlador gráfico no Windows XP. Não tinha o cd com os drivers.

Já pesquisou no google?

É Desktop, procuri no Google a torto e a direito, não achei. Os que achei foi para a versão 8.04 do ubuntu...
A placa de vídeo do seu era mesma da minha?

Eu acho que não é problema de driver e sim de configurar a resolução.

Estou com o mesmo problema!!!

já tentei vários tutoriais e nada!!!!

A configuração na resolução de tela no ubuntu 8.10. Ela nao ultrapassa 640x400 85hz. Ja tentei "ns" maneiras de configurar Xorg.conf, entretanto nada resolve.
Minha placa mãe é uma MSI P4M800 (VGA - VIA Technologies, Inc. KM400/KN400/P4M800 [S3 UniChrome).

Meu xorg.conf está assim:
