ERROR 17:CANNOT MOUNT SELECTED PARTITION

deu esse erro ! quando fui dar boot no ubuntu pelo Grub, ai só entra no windows..

eu tive q restaurar o meu grub pois instalei o Windows depois do linux, e dai quando fui entrar no linux deu isso ae...oq devo fazer?

meu eh ubuntu 7.05 ...espero ajuda de todos..

Amigo vamos lá, primeiro acho que este título não pode ficar em maiúsculo... se não me engano.

Você poderia entrar com o LiveCD e postar o resultado do comando:

$ sudo fdisk -l
Poderia postar também o conteúdo do arquivo /boot/grub/menu.lstmas observe não é o arquivo do LiveCD e sim da partição onde o Linux esta instalado, então você deve montar a partição no Linux em um diretório e ai copiar o conteúdo do arquivo que vai estar em:

/diretório-de-montagem/boot/grub/menu.lst

Faça um backup do seu arquivo e substitua ele por este aqui para ver se funciona:

Vlw velho pela ajuda, mas vou fazer uma limpeza aki, e ja aproveito e instalo de volta meu ubuntu e tals, vo aumenta a partição dele q tinha apenas 7gb e tals, vai ser melhor...

vc alias poderia deixar ai pra mim a melhor maneira e mais segura de recuperar o GRUB depois de uma instalacao de windows?
sendo que eu sempre acabo formatando meu windows...e quase nunca o linux..
