Problema com vídeo após atualização de pacotes (GeForce 8400)

E aew galera
estou com um problema aqui:
eu tinha o linux instalado no note, junto com o windows
como vi que estava pesando um pouco, resolvi formatar e criar partições separadas
instalei o Ubuntu e talz
e eu sempre tive que instalar um driver para minha placa de vídeo (GeForce 8400)
o driver chama
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-185.18.14-pkg1.run

porém, dessa vez ao terminar de atualizar todos os pacotes que precisavam de atualizações deu pau no meu vídeo
tento instalar de novo o driver e aparece o seguinte erro:
