Título: erro no poedit

Instalei em minha máquina o poedit com um "sudo aptitude install poedit", mas ao inicializá-lo ele me retorna a mensagem:

e ao tentar abrir algum arquivo .po outra mensagem de erro:

mas fora isso aparentemente estou trabalhando normalmente. Alguem sabe do que se trata??
