[PROBLEMA] Players não reproduzem video

Já uso o Ubuntu desde o Feisty e nunca tive nenhum tipo de problema com vídeos


porém, no Hardy, instalei todos os codecs e pacotes necessários para rodar todos os tipos de vídeo. No totem, ele reproduz todos numa boa, apesar de estar com uma resolução não muito boa (alguém sabe porque isso?)

o problema é:
Quando tento abrir o vídeo pelo smplayer, mplayer ou qualquer outro do tipo..o vídeo some e somente o áudio é reproduzido

Qual sua placa de vídeo? O compiz está ativado?

Uso uma ATI Mobility Radeon x1400

é de notebook =P


no 7.10, tudo funcionava certinho! os vídeos estavam 100% perfeitos e tocavam em todos os players!
não importava se o compiz estava ou não ativado


e no momento, não estou com o compiz ativado (mas posso ativa-lo se quiser)

Quando tento abrir o vídeo...o vídeo some e somente o áudio é reproduzido.

Amigo, qual é extensão do vídeo?
Acontece só com este vídeo ou com outros, de outros formatos também?
