instalação xchat-2.8.4

Bom galera estou tentando instalar o xchat no meu ubuntu 7.10 e não estou conseguindo aki esta tudo que eu fiz e acho que está dando erro.... gostária de saber o pq está ruin para instalar deste jeito...  A não tem nada haver pq eu instalei ele pelo live cd
