gtk-recordMyDesktop e XVIDCAP - Não consigo intalar...

Boa noite a todos,
já perdi um bom tempo tentando e lendo uns tutoriais mas não estou conseguindo instalar nenhum destes dois programas...

Já usei os seguintes tutoriais:

Já tentei pelo Console com Apt-get install e pelo Add/Remove...

exemplo: ao utilizar sudo apt-get install recordmydesktop gtk-recordmydesktop em determinado momento me aparece:

Será que é porque uso a versão 64 bits do Feisty?

e se eu usar sudo apt-get install xvidcap aparece:

Já procurei em todo lugar mas não vi a solução, se alguém puder dar uma luz ae agradeço.

digite num terminal:

(se der mensagem de que há substitutos para alguns pacotes instale os substitutos)


Entre nesse site e faça download do recordMyDesktop parece que os pacotes são para qualquer arquitetura 32 e 64 bits, entre e escolha um:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=172357&package_id=197132

Vá até  onde você salvou o pacote e clique com a direita do mouse "extrair aqui" depois num terminal entre na pasta extraída e  digite:
cd recordmydesktop-0.3.8.1
./configure
make
make install

Aqui ela fala p/ usar o apt-get update, mas usar o comando assim mesmo puro?

continuando mesmo com estes erros baixei o arquivo que indicou, descompactei e tentei instalá-lo, mas o comando "./configure" apresenta o seguinte:

após o autoremove (que procedeu corretamente) tive alguns erros no final do install...
Nesse caso eu to sem entender mesmo, mais uma vez será q identifica o problema? engraçado que pensei q seria molezinha instalar este programa

No seu caso parece que a build-essential está com problemas em baixar.
Sem a buid-essential não dá para compilar nada.

Depois que conseguir instalar a build-essential baixe o xvidcap  no site abaixo:

Se eu fosse você fazia o backup de seu arquivos e instalava do zero o ubuntu 8.04 ou 8.10 que está mais atualizado e vai achar os debs 64 bits que é só dar duplo clique para instalar tanto para o xvidcap como o gtk-recordMyDesktop.
