Erro na atualizaçao do ubuntu 9.04

Pessoal de uns dias pra cá ta dando um erro na hora de atualizar meu ubuntu 9.04 mesmo formatando persiste. olha o erro


Falhou ao buscar http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/dists/jaunty/Release Unable to find expected entry multiverse/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) Alguns arquivos de índice falharam para baixar, eles foram ignorados ou os antigos foram usados no lugar.

O que você quer dizer com "formatar"? Significa que você reinstalou todo o sistema várias vezes?

Você está usando ubuntu puro ou Xubuntu?

O sistema apresenta a mensagem de erro quando você tenta atualizar por qual caminho? Gráfico ou linha de comando? Já tentou atualizar com o comando "sudo apt-get update"?

A mensagem de erro indica que o seu sistema não conseguiu acessar o repositório em questão. Isso é estranho, porque não se trata de nenhum repositório exótico ou maluco, mas o release do Jaunty.

Você poderia por favor "postar" o conteúdo do arquivo "/etc/apt/sources.list"? Esse arquivo contém a lista dos repositórios usados pelo sistema. Para fazer isso basta usar o comando "cat /etc/apt/sources.list" e depois fazer recorta e cola do resultado.

Aqui está acontecendo o mesmo erro:

To usando o ubuntu 9.04 e não sei se o erro é pq instalei o ubuntu perfeito...

Olá,

Eu tive problema semelhante, e descobri que as seguintes linhas colocadas pelo ubuntu-perfeito são o problema:

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu jaunty universe # Repositorio [universe] acrescentado pelo ubuntu-perfeito
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu jaunty multiverse # Repositorio [multiverse] acrescentado pelo ubuntu-perfeito
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu jaunty partner # Repositorio [partner] acrescentado pelo ubuntu-perfeito

Basta removê-las e é bom atulalizar o seu ubuntu perfeito para a versão 14, no link abaixo:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ubuntu-perfeito/files/ubuntu-perfeito-9.x/ubuntuperfeito-9.04.14_all.deb/download

e não se esqueça de fazer um: apt-get update
