Atualizando Ubuntu 10.10 para 11.04

Olá, pesquisei por soluções no forum sobre o meu problema e ñ achei, achei parecido fiz o mesmo procedimento, mais mesmo assim não resolvi meu problema, então eu tentei atualizar o meu ubuntu que e 10.10 para 11.04 fui no terminal e digitei " sudo update-manager -d " veio a janela de atualizações normalmente, dai eu fui atualizar o sistema, clicei para atualizar e esperei baixar arquivos, notei que no terminal apareceu algumas msgs e tbm um erro, o que apareceu no terminal :

E logo depois no gerenciador de atualizações apareceu :

E em gerenciador de pacotes Synaptic eu mudei para " Servidor Principal " e deu os seguintes erros :

Não foi possível baixar todos os índices de repositórios

O repositório pode não estar mais disponível ou pode não ter sido possível entrar em contato com o mesmo devido a problemas de rede. Caso esteja disponível, uma versão mais antiga do índice que falhou será usada. Senão o repositório será ignorado. Verifique sua conexão de rede e certifique-se de que o endereço do repositório esteja correto nas preferências.

Oriento a baixar o ISO Ubuntu 12.04 PP LTS, gravar em CD e instalá-lo no seu PC.

Cara mais tipo, isto aqui e forum de ajuda ne dai eu pensei que como eu sou um pouco iniciante no ubuntu poderiam me orientar a resolver o meu problema sem precisar formatar ou instalar novo ( somente se for msm preciso ) pq assim os conhecimentos seram aprimorados

É só reintalá-lo, pois há opção de manter toda a documentação pelo CDLive do Ubuntu. É só ler o Manual Específico do Ubuntu, clicando aqui.

-como foi lançado em abril/2011 já está sem suporte desde outubro/2012
-sugiro que faça instalação limpa a partir do ubuntu-12.04-lts que terá suporte até abril/2012
-como ubuntu não é uma distro rolling release sugiro que sempre faça instalação limpa a partir do live-cd

Na realidade é: o 12.04LTS - que terá suporte até abril/2017, suporte de 5(cinco) anos.
