Problemas no Beryl

Galera... acabei de instalar o Beryl....
E to com um problema q eu ja fucei nele inteiro e nao consigo resolver...
na verdade sao tres problemas 
1* - Ele some com a barra superior... (aquele onde fica o minimizar, maximizar, fechar) e tipo toda vez ou tenho q dar Alt+F4 ou tenho q clicar em baixo pra fechar
2* - Toda vez q vou abrir uma janela de terminal ela fica toda branca e nao mostra nd.. (ja tentei mudar as cores da janela ams continua do mesmo jeito)
3* - As barras do Ubuntu... (aquela onde fica os programas abertos e a outra) ficam sempre na frente.. tipo se eu abro alguma aplicacao full screen a aplicacao fica atras das barras.

Poxa galera se alguem puder me ajuda eu agradeco, eu fui ate no santo Google, mas a maioria dos foruns de Beryl sao em ingles.. e tipo ingles ainda nao e minha area

Bom não sei muito não porque também sou iniciante.. mas instalei aqui sem poblemas o Beryl, deu alguns erros iniciais, mas nada que não usando a busca do forum eu não encontra-se as soluções.

Tenta usar a busca e procurar por "beryl" pra ver os poblemas... se mesmo assim não consegiir pode ser que o poblema não seja o beryl em si... e sim poblemas de configuração do seu xorg ou do driver da sua placa de video ok.

Eu fiz todos os testes possíveis (até onde é possivel pra mim) e tipo nao vai.. ate desinstalei o Beryl instalei de novo apaguei a pasta oculta dele de configuração e nd... estes problemas continuam aparecendo....
Também testei a placas com alguns comandos q li em outros forum e ta dando tudo certo...

quanto à barra de títulos, na primeira vez que usei o Beryl, eu quase morri, pq ficou uma coisa branca e "não tinha" botões...

Depois descobri que era um dos temas do Emerald, e, pelo que parece, o padrão, e que tem botões sim, mas só aparecem depois q vc para o mouse em cima deles 0.o

não será isso??? 

quanto ao resto, não posso opinar q sou muito novo no Beryl e tou enfrentando um problema no meu feisty pq ele num inicia de jeito nenhum por causa do python 2.5...

Galera,
Então fiz isso q comentaram e nd....
Me parece (fuçando no Sr. Google) que meu problema tem relação com o Emerald, pois parece q o Beryl sobe e ja chama o Emerald... e como ele nao funfa dai some as barras, porém quando mudo para o Aquamarine tambem nao vai.. (nao sei se o Aquamarine só funciona no KDE).
Vcs tem alguma ideia doq pode ser???

Bem.. antes de mais nada , você poderia colocar alguma informação do seu hardware ( a placa de vídeo é onboard ,offboard ,ATI ou Nvidia) , software (no caso o Beryl , qual ? XGL + Beryl , Aiglx + Beryl ou só Beryl) e  a versão do Ubuntu  ?

E também o seu xorg.conf

Com relação ao software não sei lhe dizer qual uso... apenas segui um tutorial que falava do Aiglx, agora se realmente estou utilizando nao sei... me passe qual o comando para descobrir que coloco aqui.

Opa., agora ficou menos difícil   
Se estiver usando o Ubuntu 6.06 → você pode instalar o XGL +Beryl  http://wiki.beryl-project.org/wiki/Install_Beryl_on_Ubuntu_Dapper_with_XGL
Se estiver usando o Ubuntu 6.10 → você pode instalar  o XGL +Beryl  ou o Beryl (recomendado)
Para instalar só o Beryl você terá que ter o driver de vídeo versão 1.0-9xxx (menos o 1.0-9755 , parece que não esta dando suporte a sua placa) .
Para instalar os driver sem complicação : Envy http://ubuntuforum-pt.org/index.php?topic=15359.0
ou na mão : http://ubuntuforum-pt.org/index.php?topic=14353.msg92062#msg92062 .
E dar os dois comandos que passei

Oi ppl, eu gostava de ter esses problemas, era sinal que conseguia instalar o Beryl. Consigo fazer update do sistema e até baixar o Beryl (pelo menos eu acho que consigo!), o problema vem quando dou a instrução para o instalar e diz que não encontra o pacote...!

Tenho o ubuntu 6.10 actualizado e uma GForce 6200 TurboCache também actualizada (com o Automatix).

Já corri uns quantos fóruns e Wiki's e dá sempre o mesmo erro! Será que dá para ajudar!?!?!?!

P.S.: Sou muito, mas muito verdinho nestas andanças.

Aproveitando esse tópico e as valiosas dicas do k7br , vai mais uma dúvida.
Eu estava usando normalmente o Beryl e hoje, do nada, ele "encrencou" e não inicia mais.Toda vez que eu tento inicia-lo meu"X" cai e volta a tela de login.Eu desinstalei o Beryl, reinstalei, segui as dicas do k7br nesse tópico e nada do Beryl funcionar.Ele está instalado, tenho acesso às configurações mas ele não inicia.
Para agilizar, minha placa de vídeo é uma Geforce 6800GS, o meu drive é o 9755 e meu xorg tá aí:

Outra coisa estranha é que o problema ocorre de forma similar quando eu rodo no terminal essa opção:

glxinfo |grep rendering

O meu"X" é reiniciado da mesma forma.Será que o problema está no drive de video??

Beleza pessoal!!
Eu resolví o problema reinstalando o drive da nVidia (9755) e instalando o Beryl novamente.Não entendí o que aconteceu mas felizmente, até agora, o Beryl está funcionando perfeitamente.
Valeu pelo apoio pessoal!!!
