Acho que vc deveria dar uma olhada na sua sources.list.
Estou usando a "rotineira" do Gutsy e ela tem o anjuta.

há eu encontrei o Synaptic, porém, não consegui instalar com ele, os pacotes anjuta e amsn, mas consegui outros como amarok e apache.
