Não consigo Atualizar o Ubuntu via Central de Programas!

Ei pessoal, porque não consigo mais atualizar o Ubuntu pela Central de Programas? Estou tentando instalar coisas por lá e não consigo, sempr edá um erro de "Timed Out", a mesma coisa ocorre se eu fizer um sudo apt-get update..

O site de repositorios pode estar fora do ar, faça:

sistema > administração > canais de software

na primeira aba onde diz "servidor do brasil", mude para servidor principal.

Também pode dar esse erro se vc tiver a banda ocupada com o Bit Torrent, por exemplo.
