Bom, eu nunca joguei, mas olhando aqui no WineHQ tem alguns reviews completos:

A classificação é Gold, portanto é bem provável que funcione legal:

What works
Basically everything, i.e. browsing servers and joining a game.

What does not
Viewmodels and certain environment textures flash into a white patch. Overlay doesn't work either.

What was not tested
Creating a new server, as well as a couple other options.

Additional Comments
TF2 runs fine on my configuration, and is just as playable like when I run it on Windows, other than some occasional flashing/corrupted textures. The cursor problem might need some fixing, too.
