Abra o terminal:
1º
sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup2

2°
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx libgl1-mesa-dri

3°
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

4°
Delete todo o conteúdo desse arquivo, e cole isto aqui:

Após isso, reinicie o computador...
E use estes dois comandos:
glxinfo | grep vendor

e depois

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

Cara, não sei mais o que falar, tenta fazer isto:
Remova tudo que você instalou até agora, de todos os manuais.
E então dê esses comandos

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-restricted-modules-$(uname -r) #Okay if it is already installed
sudo apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx
sudo depmod -a
sudo aticonfig --initial
sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv

Depois:
sudo shutdown -r now
