Beryl com Tela Branca?

Boa noite, amigos

Jogo rápido: em uma placa mae asus p2-99, com uma placa de video Trident Blade 3D, o Beryl, após instalado, qual inicializo ele pelo beryl-manager, o pc fica com a tela toda branca, e apenas o mouse se movimenta, e sou forçado a reiniciar o pc pelo botao reset da cpu

Alguem passou por isso? Não achei topico sobre o assunto no Forum

Tive o mesmo pau no desktop da Universidade, com uma Maravilhosa placa barbante ( daquelas que ficam penduradas no barbante da feira  , fajuta pacas ) o problema ( meu ) era no glx e deu muito trabalho pra arrumar.

Simplesmente eu tinha uma tela branca sem nenhuma letra na tela, lindo pacas. ( só no reset )

Como já tratamos da sua Cyber Blade em outro tópico eu acho que voce vai ralar um pouco no xorg....

Hoje eu vou na USP e de lá posto meu xorg para voce ter umas idéias se dá para adaptar para a Trident.

Não, eu não disse que a sua é barbante. A minha com certeza é, porque veio numa caixa de papelão ondulado, as originais vem em papel cartão. Além disso o silk screen na placa é borrado...

Grande Tota! Mas pelo tanto de incompatibilidade, os "chinas" me venderam esse gato pro lebre, há uns anos atrás 

Como o pc tá la em casa, a noite vou dar uma "namorada" nesse xorg aí, pra tentar identificar o erro. Se não conseguir, posto aqui, pois talvez ajude alguem que tenha o msmo problema.

Eu e minhas placas de video toscas... há um mês atrás eu tava com aquela esquisita, que esqueci até o nome  Varios colegas do forum nem sequer conheciam a danada

Mestre Tota, após passar um dia todo comparando os "xorgs", não cheguei a conclusao alguma

ok, ok, download concluido. baixei o arquivo BladeXF86_SVGA do link q vc encontrou, tota.

mandei descompactar e surgiu um arquivo executável, chamado XF86_SVGA

dei dois cliques nele, e surgiu uma janela chamada: Error - No suitable aplication

com a msg: Cannot open /home/eunir/Desktop/XF86_SVGA: No application suitable for automatic installation is available for handling this kind of file.

vou tentar dar um sudo no terminal, pra ver q q vira.

alguem já tentou mexer nisso aqui? http://wiki.ubuntubrasil.org/AcelerandoBoot

to achando que vou resolver alguns problemas de energia por aí  quem sabe nao resolve a placa tbm, neh? rs

( O link para a Trident esta quebrado, como era de se esperar ) mas voce ja baixou o XF86 então deve ser mais fácil.

Acredito que não vai ser difícil 'adaptar" a receita do mandriva/conectiva.

Salvador Tota, após bater a cabeça aqui tbm, cheguei a alguns resultados

01- O xserver-xorg-video-trident já está instalado 

02- De acordo com o link, o primeiro comando (xf86cfg) de cara já dá inexistente 

Resolvi fazer uns testes aqui, com os milhões de CDs Knoppix que tenho espalhados no meu guarda roupa, e fui acessando os sites que geram a tela verde, e tbm instalei o beryl neles para testar.

Detalhe: Kuruma Light, Kurumin Full, Big Linux, Resu Linux, mais umas 3 nao conhecidas e até o EUNIR Linux, que uma vez eu estava "brincando" de remasterizar o Kuruma hehe

Que não são derivadas do Knoppix, testei o Puppy Linux, o Xubuntu e o Fluxbuntu

Repare que usei tudo do paizão Debian, correto?

Resultado: Todas deram tela branca no Beryl, e no Compiz tbm

Todas, com exceção do Big Linux, travaram com a tela verde do outro topico

Dai eu pensei, opaaa, vou analisar o xorg.conf do Big Linux, e comparar com o Ubuntu. 

Estou aqui prosseguindo a experiencia. Não mexi com o Arch pq senao ele vai "arrebentar" meu hd, e nao to interessado nele agora.

Tendo resultados, posto aqui, Tota. Brigadão.

02- De acordo com o link, o primeiro comando (xf86cfg) de cara já dá inexistente

xf86cfg, xf86config e Xconfigurator são variações do nosso configurador. É só trocar o nome. Lembre que a "receita" do link é para Red Hat / conectiva )

Se voce já está com Trident instalado,  no seu xorg.conf basta apenas alterar "unas cositas".

É só ir "testando" no seu xorg.conf dentro de session Trident e antes de end session.
