Como eu faço para autenticar no servidor proxy?

Estou tentando instalar programas usando o Synaptic e não estou conseguindo, a messagem que dar quando vou instalar é:

encontrei essa opção nele mas, não tem lugar para colocar usuario e senha.



Como faço para autenticar o proxy para baixar os programas da net?
Eu consigo navegar pelo Firefox normal, configurei o proxy nele e quando acesso uma página ele pede o usuário e senha do proxy.
