[Resolvido] Alguém sabe como configurar a resolução do início de sessão?

Dae,

estou utilizando o Ubuntu 8.04 e a resolução da minha máquina é 1280X800, porém no início da sessão a resolução é bem maior e consigo ver apenas o campo para inserir o nome e a senha do usuário. Alguém sabe onde posso corrigir isto, já que no arquivo xorg.conf já está configurado para default a resolução 1280X800?
Utilizo o gerenciador Gnome e na opção de alteração da "janela de início de sessão" não tem a opção de configurar a resolução da mesma.
Será que devo fazer estas configurações diretamente no menu.lst? Se sim, como?

Também estou tendo o mesmo problema!! Mas meu monitor está configurado para 1024x768, e na janela de login ele fica sei la q resoluçao, ta errado aquilo...
como só eu q uso, desisti de deixar o login e coloquei login automático na parte segurança do "janela de início de sessão", aí entra direto e não tenho esse problema.....mas assim qqr um pode vir e entrar no pc ......
Solução provisória até a gente descobrir como arruma isso....

eu tambem com mesmo problema legal achar a resposta aqui no forum ;-)

meu xorg.conf parece estar meio bagunçado entao

como nao sabia qual Section "Screen" eu colocava minha resolucao

experimenta trocar todo o seu Xorg.conf. por um novo. faça backup do seu original com defeito mesmo assim antes.

o meu problema era que meu notebook a configuracao era no maximo 1280 por 800 e eu tentando colocar Virtual   1280   1024. Tem que ver manual antes das resoluções corretas.

Tenta adicionar à mão mesmo e salva o arquivo, reinicia, tenho impressão que acrescentando essas linhas embaixo do "Defaultdepth   24" funciona.
