Não consigo desligar o computador! [Resolvido]

 Eu clico em desligar ele sai do sistema e aparece a seguinte mensagem na tela escura:

 [ 142.814157] system halted

 E o computador não deliga mais. Quem sabe a solução deste problema? Eu agradeço.

Adicione a linha:

apm power_off=1

no final do arquivo /etc/modules

Se não funcionar, adicione a linha:

acpi=force ou (acpi=off)

na linha do kernel no arquivo /boot/grub/menu.lst

gcclt eu sou novato no SO linux, então, como eu encontro esses arquivos e qual é procedimento p/ adicinar a linha?

Vá em:

Aplicativos>>Acessórios>>Terminal (ou Consola)

digite

sudo gedit /etc/modules (quando pedir a senha, digite sua senha de usuário)

e adicione a linha abaixo no final do arquivo

apm power_off=1

Se não funcionar, digite:

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst (quando pedir a senha, digite sua senha de usuário)

e adicione os comandos em vermelho abaixo, no final da linha do kernel, exemplo:

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic acpi=off apm=power_off

Consegui com sudo getit/boot/grub/menu.lst
linha de arquivo acpi=force
valeu sifu!
Mas acho fiz uma trapalhada no arquivo sudo gedit /etc/modules
é que tinha uma linha que eu acho que estava escrito  sl  e eu apaguei, será que vai interferir em alguma coisa?

Não tenho certeza mas acho que sim.

Acho que a linha era lp

No meu arquivo /etc/modules tem uma linha com lp. Se não me engano ela serve para habilitar a porta paralela.

Obs.: Nunca delete algo que vc não saiba para que serve.

Eu tinha o mesmo problema e bastou o acpi=force na linha do grub para ele desligar direitinho

 Pensei ter resolvido o problema com ajuda aqui do tópico mas o problema retornou a primeira vez ele desligou sem problemas mas agora não quer desligar, o que eu faço?

Faça as modificações no arquivo descritas em vermelho na citação acima.

Depois faça o teste e verifique se funcionou.

 Fiquei com uma dúvida porque o l minúsculo e o i maiúsculo aqui no forum são iguais pode me esclarecer qual letra se trata naquela parte que eu deletei sem saber?

o comando que vc deletou sem saber é "LP" (tudo minúsculo - L de lâmpada e P de pato).

Consegui agora desligar duas vezes pelo sistema. Tenho uma outra questão, é que tenho que digitar toda vez sudo pon dsl-provider para me conectar isso é assim mesmo?

Antes de postar, sempre procure no fórum.

Eu procurei e pelo que eu vi, sim, está correto (Eu uso NET - que é cable modem e não adsl - e meu ubuntu reconhece a conexão automaticamente no boot. Por isso eu não sabia e tive que procurar).

Você tem que digitar:

sudo pon dsl-provider para conectar
sudo poff dsl-provider para desconectar

No entanto, existe uma maneira de dar o boot e já iniciar conectado. Veja alguns links que encontrei.
