xp+ubuntu+slackware(RESOLVIDO)

E ae pessoal é o seguinte, eu tenho o xp e o slackware no meu note, fui instalar o ubuntu e deixei uma partição livre ....
....só que ao instalar o ubuntu ele mostra na tela de inicialização os três sistemas mas não entra no slackware.
Alguém sabe me dizer porque ele não entra no sistema slackware?

Acho que seu problema não é com o Grub, e sim com o slackware.

Se você mudou o particionamento do disco para instalar o Ubuntu, talvez tenha mudado a partição do slackware (exemplo: de sda7 para sda8) e ai ele pode não iniciar.

O ideal é você dizer exatamente qual é o erro, pois é a melhor forma de ajudar.

De qualquer forma já chegou a consultar um fórum da distro?

Dentro da sda8 eu tinha o slackware e dentro do sda7 deixei livre para instalar o ubuntu....

No seu lugar eu removeria essa parte inteira e faria apenas mais uma entrada para o slackware.

Para tanto siga os passos abaixo (leia tudo antes de fazer qualquer coisa... tenha certeza que entendeu até o fim):

1o) Por segurança  faça um backup do arquivo:

sudo   cp    /boot/grub/menu.lst     /boot/grub/menu.lst.bkp.20090810

2o) Edite o arquivo:

sudo    gedit    /boot/grub/menu.lst

3o) Remova as linhas em vermelho

4o) Adicionar uma linha para o slackware.

Neste caso você pode só copiar o conjunto de linhas do grub do slackware, ou montar uma por conta própria.

Para montar você mesmo basta seguir os passos deste link aqui.

Lembre-se só que as informações do seu slackware serão algo próximo ao abaixo:

E para ser franco não tenho certeza absoluta das linhas (por isso a sugestão de verificar a informação na sua partição slackware), pois faz anos luz que não uso a distro em questão.

Bah valeu pela ajuda mas não deu certo, eu estou desconfiado que minha partição do slackware foi pro espaço....
...posso instalar de novo ela pois não fazia muito tempo que anda com ela e não tinha nenhum arquivo salvo nela.
Só me diz uma coisa se eu instalar ela de novo e não instalar o lilo, quando eu reiniciar o sistema o grub vai carregar ela já? ou eu vou ter que adicionala???

Quando você reinstalar ela, se não instalar nem lilo, nem grub, vai ter que adicionar sim no grub do ubuntu.

Ou pode tentar fazer o lilo achar os outros três sistemas, se não conseguir recupera-se o grub. É mais trabalhoso, mas é uma alternativa.

E acabei não vendo resposta, se é que teve... você consegue montar a partição do slackware? Caso contrário pode ser isso, e podemos partir para tentar acertar ela, e se conseguir montar só pesquisando mesmo, mas acho que podemos tentar, se quiser.

Bem, se a partição esta com problemas pode tentar antes o comando abaixo, não custa nada:

sudo   fsck    /dev/sda8

Com a partição desmontada, claro.

Você pode tentar recuperar o GRUB, com as dicas do tópico Mil e uma maneiras de se recuperar o Grub, na qual não sei se funcionaria para achar o slackware, ou você pode tentar a dica acima, quando falei para colocar o slackware a mão no grub.
