Não consigo instalar nada

Galera, sou iniciante em Linux, não muito noob mas sou.
Acabei de instalar a nova versão do Ubuntu aqui em casa, e como desenvolvo aplicativos, estava tentando instalar o Code Blocks pela central de programas. Mas ao instalar, da um erro, falando que houve falha na instalação, que a internet está desconectada, sendo que estou conectado nela. Como procedo ?
E aqui, é melhor instalar os aplicativos pela central ou baixa-los pela internet e depois instala-los ?

Digitei os comandos no console. O que eles fazem ? Está baixando uns pacotes

Seria muito incomodo postar o erro completo como ele aparece no seu terminal?

copie e cole do terminal desde o comando que usou até voltar ao prompt de comandos

assim o forum pode resolver com mais facilidade, visto existirem centenas de topicos no forum explicando com resolver problemas com repositórios
