Nvidia Fx5500, no backtrack5 r1

[Cima]

Tenho uma placa da Nvidia Fx5500, que esta com má compatibilidade
de funcionamento no BT5 r1 64 bits, dando uma resoulução de tela de no maximo 720x576, no monitor de 17'

Já tentei em modo texto instalar o driver proprietario, mas da erro. Antes de logar com startx no terminal digito:
1º chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.31-pkg2.run
2º./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.31-pkg2.run
acusa que da erros.
