Compilação de plugin (XMMS) e de programas

Moçada, estou tentando compilar o plugin de VU Meter do XMMS e a saída do ./configure está assim:

Já fiz outras compilações que exigiam o tal de GLIB, como o drive de vídeo NVidia e o StarDic e não apareceu essa chamada "not installed" do GLIB, será que pra fazer o bagulho vou ter que baixar tudo aquilo que está marcado como "no"?
