Erro ao inicializar Ubuntu

Estava atualizando o Ubuntu via Terminal quando repentinamente ele travou e tive que resetar e reiniciar o computador à força, ao reiniciar logo após a tela de splash o sistema cai na seguinte tela preta:

Alguém sabe o que significa tudo isso? E o que pode ser feito para que o sistema retorne à normalidade?

Entre nas opções do grub e experimente bootar com uma versão anterior do kernel.

Se bootar, entre em terminal e digite

sudo apt-get install -fReinie o sistema e veja se resolve.
